We are partnering with an pioneering start up accounting and business consultancy firm who're on a journey to change the face of accountancy for the better. Founded by accountants-cum-entrepreneurs, this tech based accounting firm is focused on working with exciting SME and scale up businesses, providing a responsive, remote business partner.

With the team doubling in size in recent months, coupled with 2 office moves, this is a fantastic opportunity to join this constantly evolving accountancy disruptor.

The role

  • Lead client delivery team of 5

  • Supporting the client onboarding journey
  • Finance system design & build and working with data structures
  • Improving processes for new clients, leveraging technology where possible
  • Supporting the design of rich bespoke client management information
  • Developing client process manuals
  • Reviewing close activities and monthly working papers e.g. reconciliations, vat returns, prepayments/accruals & journals
  • Reviewing management commentaries
  • Reviewing monthly/quarterly management accounts
  • Review of annual statutory accounts and corporation tax
  • Investigating and responding to technical accounting queries
  • Technical support to senior business advisors in delivery of their portfolios

What will you offer?

  • Hold an accountancy qualification (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) and

    at least 1 year of relevant PQE in a small to mid sized practice
  • Proven experience of bookkeeping, management accounts, consolidations and finance processesU
  • Specific experience with companies act requirements and UKGAAP
  • Enjoy working for different clients whilst understanding their individual needs
  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders
  • Strong project management and multitasking skills
  • strong computer skills and experience with cloud accounting systems (e.g. Xero, QuickBooks)
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
