Portsmouth
Contract
Contract
Hours
Part Time - 30 hours per week

The post requires innovative thinking, a creative mind, community engagement and strong planning, organising and communication and leadership skills.

Our Gig Buddies project matches up socially isolated people with people who have learning disabilities and/or autism with a volunteer who shares the same passions and interests as them so they can go out and have fun together and develop an ongoing friendship.

You will be supporting an incredible inclusive community of people who like to have fun and facilitate friendships, seeing each member of gig buddies as the fabulous individual that they are. If you would like to work in a driven team and are a friendly, positive, organised, self-motivated person, with lots of energy, creativity and enthusiasm, this might just be the job for you. A key part of this role is maintaining a database of information and ensuring accurate records are kept digitally; writing regular quarterly reports for Aldingbourne Trust and Portsmouth County Council outlining the progress of the project so strong written and IT skills are key.

You will be engaging with the community and building networks for a variety of social activities so strong communication skills are essential. You will actively use social media platforms to communicate with buddies and promote Gig Buddies.

Fixed term contract minimum of 12 months to be reviewed after initial fixed term
