Finance Assistant – 4 Days Per Week

We're currently looking for an experienced Finance Assistant to cover a 1 year maternity leave contract for a key client in the Plumpton Green area. This is an established client who can offer attractive offices, a highly supportive and friendly team ethos, and plenty of company perks. The offices are based in an idyllic rural setting so own transport is essential.

The current job holder will be going on leave early October so a start date around end of Sep / early Oct is required. We expect them to be away for an entire year. You will have sound experience of purchase ledger, sales ledger, expenses, and recharges to be a strong candidate for the role. Alongside good IT skills, a collaborative and hardworking approach, and friendly disposition.

Role Overview:

• Reporting to and supporting Financial Controller
• Entering of expenses
• Entering all invoices and supplying backup for these
• Entering debit notes
• Reconciling supplier invoices
• Working with budget holders to ensure that invoices are authorised
• Answering supplier queries
• Chasing invoices to assist with closure of month
• Recharge invoices
• Monthly training charges
• Ensuring that backup is checked and signed off
• Dealing with any follow up queries
• Monthly reconciliation of accounts
• Issuing the staffing Purchase Orders to Regional Managers
• General offices duties including filing of purchase ledger invoices and answering phone
