Specialist Day Services require an Assistant Manager; this post will be temporary for a year.

You will work alongside the Day Services Manager managing the day to day operations of the service, offering guidance and support to ensure its success. Services include providing day time activities for people with dementia and /or long term complex needs, as well as being pivotal in launching the new Discharge to Assess with Reablement service.

You will have key responsibilities in the development and implementation of a time limited programme of targeted support for people focussing on confidence building, supporting people to develop and maintain their skills and independence. An Occupational Therapy approach will be pivotal to the success of building and measuring the reablement service.

The service is currently provided to East Grinstead and the surrounding area 5 days a week.

The post holder will demonstrate effective communication skills and develop relationships with a range of customers, carers, team colleagues and internal and external partners.

You will work to support the manager in bringing the day service provision alongside future proposals of WSCC.
