About the Role

Fletching is a small village primary school which offers a friendly family atmosphere.

We are looking for someone to join our friendly team in our Year 5/6 class to work with a child with SEN. Ideally the candidate will have experience of working with children and preferably also have some special educational needs experience. They should be flexible, well organised, be able to follow and contribute to plans and use their own initiative. Applicants should have good literacy and numeracy skills and preferably be confident when working with ICT. Training and regular supervision will be given.

School starts at 8.45, the post will have a start time of 8.30am. The post includes a flexible MDSA role at lunchtime. The position is on a temporary basis until the end of the spring term 2017. The post will then be reviewed.

Midday Supervision from 12.00 until 1.15 is covered by job sharing between the TAs at the school.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2009 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2009 Regulations. 

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2009 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
