Nursery Practitioner

£7.65 per hour – 40 hours per week

My client is currently looking for a Nursery Practitioner to work 40 hours a week over 4 days at their purpose built facility based in Edenbridge. The vacancy is within the pre-school room with children aged 3-5 years.

Your mains duties and responsibilities will include:

• Working in partnership with the Nursery Manager, Deputy Nursery Manager and Room Leaders to ensure the daily running and administration on the nursery, adhering to Policies and Procedures and compliance with the Children's Act, Health and Safety legislation and within the guidelines of Ofsted/CSIW and the National Standards.
• Ensuring confidentiality is maintained at all times.
• Acting as a named coordinator relevant to their skills or training as designated by the Nursery Manager.
• Promoting and supporting team work.
• Referring and accidents and incidents to the Nursery Manager.
• Liaising with parents and negotiating working targets and ensuring effective communication within the nursery.
• Offering all children equal opportunities with regard to their religious persuasion, racial origin, gender, disabilities, cultural or linguistic background; in particular challenge situations where racism or discrimination is displayed.
• Assisting the Nursery Manager and Deputy Nursery Manager, participating in arranging regular parent's evenings, publicity, open weekends and any children's outings and ensuring effective marketing.


Ideally you will already have 1 years experience in a similar role or in an environment working closely with children. You will also hold NVQ Level 3 in childcare or above. You must possess excellent communication skills and be self motivated.
