Risk and Compliance Officer, Kent. Up to £40,000 plus benefits.

Due to continue growth and further expected expansion my client is looking for an experienced Compliance professional to play a key role in supporting the Risk & Compliance Manager.
Providing oversight of the risk management framework, in particular ensuring the risk registers are maintained, reviewed and evaluated by their Risk Owners and evaluating this information to create the risk reporting dashboard.
Facilitate risk owners in populating the risk register including assisting risk owners in identification of business risks, risk analysis and development of risk mitigation strategies.
Support the embedding and monitoring of Conduct Risk across the group.
To support the Risk & Compliance Manager in developing and conducting the compliance monitoring program internally and of cover-holders.
Support the Risk & Compliance Manager in the regulatory oversight of Delegated Authorities.
Understand the regulatory landscape drawing out the key regulation and legislation for each specialist area, and help the Risk & Compliance Manager identify where the business is most at risk, and make recommendations for improvement as appropriate.
Assist the Risk & Compliance Manager in managing the Business Continuity Plan area, involving regular practical testing, and reporting.
Undertake staff training to raise awareness and understanding of risks and other areas relevant to compliance and risk management.
Take the initiative and lead projects to assist in delivery of the departmental objectives.
Preparing the risk and compliance MI and reporting pack for the Risk & Compliance Committee.

Experience required;
A good understanding of the UK insurance regulatory framework.
Prior experience of working in compliance and or risk management within an insurance company
Working towards a CII or compliance or risk management professional qualification or willing to study towards a professional qualification.
A high technical ability in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and creating Project plans.
Experience in performing internal control reviews and risk reporting is desirable.
Knowledge of Microsoft Visio and MS Project is desirable but not essential.
