Compliance & Audit Officer, Kent. Up to £35,000 plus benefits.

Well established, growing and highly successful insurance business is recruiting for a Compliance Officer to take a lead role in the day to day running of the compliance function.

As Compliance Officer you will report directly to the Head of Operations and be responsible for;
Developing, maintaining, and revising policies and procedures for the general operation of the Compliance Monitoring Program.
Monitor the performance of the Compliance Program on a continuing basis, taking appropriate steps to improve its effectiveness.
Identify and assess the compliance and regulatory risks requirements in relation to treating customers fairly, and implement sampling/testing to measure and manage them.
Act as an independent auditor to ensure that compliance issues/concerns within the business are being appropriately evaluated, investigated and resolved.
Monitor, and as necessary, coordinate compliance activities across the business.
Identify potential areas of compliance vulnerability and risk; develop/implement corrective action plans for resolution of problematic issues.
Provide reports on a regular basis, and as directed or requested, to keep the Compliance Committee informed of the operation and progress of compliance efforts.
Ensure proper reporting of compliance breaches as appropriate and/or required.

To be considered for this unique and exciting opportunity you will have previously worked in a similar role within an insurance operation.
You must have a strong understanding of ICOB rules.
Possess excellent organisation and communication skills.
Have a keen eye for detail and be able to produce highly accurate work first time of asking.
Ability to work under minimal supervision.
