Hours of work: 20 Hours per week

Working pattern: Part-time, Term-time only (As the position is part-time/term-time only, the above salary will be pro rata)

Fixed term: Dependent on the needs of the child

About the Role

Rotherfield Primary School serves the parish of Rotherfield and the surrounding areas including Crowborough, Mark Cross and Mayfield. We are expanding to one form entry from September 2016. 

We are a highly motivated, friendly and inclusive team seeking to appoint an Individual Needs Assistant to work alongside our SEN team. The ideal candidate will have had experience and training in working with children with Autism, Speech and Language difficulties and Dyslexia.

The ideal candidate needs to be positive, professional and motivated and show a keen interest in the development and education of  children with Special Educational Needs and also be able to work as part of a team.

Working hours will be 8.30am-12.00pm Individual Needs Assistant and then 12-12.30pm Midday Supervisory Assistant, 5 days a week.

The school will need to ensure that they are not knowingly employing a person who is disqualified under the 2009 Regulations in connection with relevant childcare provision.  Accordingly, the successful candidate will be required to demonstrate to the school, by completing a self-declaration form as part of the pre-employment checks process, that they have not been disqualified under the 2009 Regulations. 

If the preferred candidate is found to be disqualified under the 2009 Regulations, the offer of employment will be subject to the application by the preferred candidate to Ofsted for a waiver and the receipt of a waiver from Ofsted.
