Our client is a mid-tier firm of Chartered Accountants based in mid Kent with a strong reputation for excellence. The successful candidate will be involved in a mixed role incorporating both accounts preparation and tax.

The objectives of this role are to prepare basic accounts jobs to completion, support the senior staff in preparing more complex accounts jobs, provide tax advice and prepare tax returns, supervise junior staff and assist in their training needs.

Key responsibilities include:
• Preparing client accounts for Sole Traders, Partnerships and Limited Companies
• Preparation of basis income tax and corporation tax computations
• Quarterly VAT returns
• Maintaining client relationships, consistent rapport building
• Meeting clients face to face
• Resolve any Client issues that arises
• Other ad hoc duties as when required
• Managing your own workload in a timely and efficient manner


Essential skills:
• ACCA / ACA part qualified / qualified or AAT qualified
• Experience gained within a UK firm of chartered accountants

• Able to see projects through to completion,
• Polite and patient with clients at all times,
• Possess excellent level of written business English for emails/ letters combined with strong interpersonal skills.
