Brand new position available for a Legal Cashier looking to make a step-up into a Senior Cashier position within an expanding, progressive firm.

This individual will join a team of 4 in finance in a pivotal role for the business which reports directly to the Senior Partner. This organisation is well established in the Kent and Sussex areas and its continued growth over the past decade is testament to the strength of their client relationships and innovation.

Overview of role:

• Credit Control
• Purchase and Sales Ledger
• Bank, petty cash, credit cards and expenses reconciliations
• Prepare, check and monitor all monthly payroll processes
• Bank reconciliations
• Process month/year end reports and accounts
• Monitor residual client balances
• Legal Aid billing / enquiries
• Monthly compliance reporting
• Production of time and billing reports
• Ad hoc duties as required

Candidates need have existing Legal Cashier experience and a good understanding of Solicitors' Accounts Rules. It would also be preferable for them to have dealt with Legal Aid in the past and have knowledge of payroll processes. The successful candidate will be a proactive, committed individual with an eye for detail and professional communication skills at all levels.
