They are offering an excellent career opportunity for an Assistant Underwriter to join their underwriting team. The underwriting team is to underwrite new schemes and renew existing customers insurance polices on behalf of the company. A key part of underwriting role is to produce compliant and accurate policy wordings, broker liaison and ensure working practices are compliant and inline standards set. Overview of the role: • To provide questions in accordance with company guidelines • Ensure a full working knowledge of the Financial Institution products is achieved and maintained • Develop and maintain excellent working relationships with Premier Banking Managers • To Underwrite and manage own portfolio of work • Refer cases above normal authority levels making recommendations • Liaise with claims department to resolve queries Personal specification: • Achieve and study towards CII qualification - training and support is provided • Desirable - Experience in Household Underwriting, previous Administration/office experience • Previous Customer service experience • Hardworking and good IT skills For more information about this role and the company please speak with Laura at Select Appointments.
