Graduate Insurance Underwriter £18,000 + benefits Working hours: 9am - 5pm, Monday - Friday Kings Hill Our client is a professional, market leading, dynamic specialist insurance company based in smart, modern offices. They are offering an excellent career opportunity for a bright enthusiastic, graduate to join their underwriting team. The underwriting team is to underwrite new schemes and renew existing customers insurance polices on behalf of the company. A key part of underwriting role is to produce compliant and accurate policy wordings, broker liaison and ensure working practices are compliant and inline standards set. Reports to: Head of Underwriting/Manager Responsibilities of your role: • Policy wording: creation, amendment and interpretation. • To liaise effectively with brokers and external sources • To respond to broker queries and internal queries within a timely manner. • Create and deliver client presentations & support senior underwriters. • Keeping all insurance policy data up to date and distribution of endorsements. • Assist with projects agreed with Head of underwriting. Successful candidate qualities: • Must be educated to degree standard or A Level • Excellent communication skills, written & verbal. • Ideally insurance experience or an understanding of personal lines products. • An analytical approach and ability to make pragmatic and commercial decisions. • Willingness to complete CII Exams.
