Technical Claims Manager, Kent. Up to £80,000 plus excellent benefits.
To ensure the claims function has technical excellence embedded within all claims activity, to prevent leakage and control indemnity spend. Working within the Executive Team, to deliver against overall group claims objectives.

Maintain a detailed understanding of the latest legal/market developments (impacting First and Third Party claims handling) and identify any changes required in the technical approach, to maximise benefits.
Monitor and analyse current technical performance of the claims teams and identify opportunities to improve results.
Support the introduction of new processes, working practices and the transfer of knowledge to the claims team.
Act as a senior referral point for complex cases when required.
Undertake regular "case clinics" with TP handlers.
Provide technical support to Quality Assurance team, within audit programme.
Provide technical support to training programme (including delivery of technical modules as appropriate).
Contribute to strategic development of the claims function, as member of Claims Executive team.
To undertake other reasonable responsibilities and projects as instructed by line manager.
Where applicable, to adhere to Company processes with regard to FCA compliance and Treating Customers Fairly.
Where applicable, to ensure that DPA, FCA, TCF and other regulatory requirements are met.

To apply you will have;
In-depth knowledge of First and Third Party claims handling techniques/processes, including, TPPD, Credit Hire, Bodily Injury (MOJ and non-MOJ), MIB.
Current motor claims legislation/legal framework/case law.
A good understanding of current motor market agreements/practices/protocols.
Ability to analyse management information (at multiple levels) and identify trends within technical performance.
Ability to operate in a fast paced environment.
