Our client is a medium sized international company with offices in Sevenoaks as well as overseas. They are seeking a IT Helpdesk Assistant to join the team and shadow the IT Manager. You will have a flexible approach and will have the opprtuntiy for overseas travel to the international offices. You will deliver exceptional customer service to all colleagues and provide an accurate and timely service whilst assisting the IT Manager and looking to progress your career. As The IT Support Assistant you will be involved in the following: General IT Support tasks: • Assistance to local/national and international users with various software packages, general computer problems, peripheral problems • Helpdesk first point of contact with over the phone/remote/live troubleshooting and resolution • Setting up and troubleshooting printers • Some mobile phone support (iOS/Droids/Blackberry) • Setting up new computers, installation of software packages • Assistance to Australian IT members to support in-house shipping software package • Some hardware maintenance Infrastructure tasks: • Working on IBM Blades, VM's, racks and towers • Remote configuration of client email • Liaise with IT contractors and vendors to support hardware, firmware and networking systems • Relocation and setup of hardware when/if required • Some basic networking knowledge (LAN/WAN/Wifi) Software: • MS Access databases, specifically creating queries and reports required • Word/Excel/Outlook knowledge required • Familiarity with RDP Benefits in Return: • £16,000-£20,000 Dependent on experience • Mobile phone & laptop • Possibility for overseas travel • Part of a dynamic and forward thinking company • Free car parking and good location!
