Assistant Underwriter / Wordings Technician, Kent. C£25,000 plus benefits coupled with excellent development and progression available.

Exciting new role has been created within this leading Insurance operation for an Assistant Technical Underwriter to play a key role in underwriting new and renewal travel insurance schemes.
A key part of the role will be to produce compliant and accurate policy wordings, creating and amending existing wording templates to represent the agreed terms and conditions.
Liaising with brokers, responding to their queries and presenting quotes on new and existing business/schemes.
Ensuring that you work within the company and regulatory guidelines/practices and are compliant at all times.
Work closely with other areas of the business, including acting as a referral point for claims and more junior staff.

Requirements:
Ideally some exposure/experience of working within the travel industry.
Previous experience in an underwriting capacity that has also included working with and producing wordings.
Confident, flexible and professional attitude.
Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills.
Numerate with a keen eye for detail and strong numeracy/analytical skills.
