We are looking for an experienced Individual Needs Assistant to provide support to a Year 6 pupil who requires additional help to access the curriculum. The sucessful applicant will demonstrate the ability to provide consistent, calm support and encouragement whilst maintaining clear behavioral boundaries. Applicants will be required to show an awareness and understanding of managing individual social, emotional and behavioral needs within a classroom environment. The position will involve class, small group and 1:1 support both inside and outside the classroom. There will be guidence from the SENCO and Class Teacher but initiative will be required to adapt activities. The hours will be 8:30am to 12:10pm and 1:10pm to 3:20pm, five days a week. Some lunchtime cover may be required.
